December 2024: Guy Bar Oz presents an inaugural lecture upon being chosen to be a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities. In the lecture, Professor Bar-Oz discusses highlights from his career as a prominent researcher in the fields of archaeozoology and bioarcheology.
Delivered at the annual open meeting of the General Assembly of the Israel National Academy of Sciences, during the holiday of Hanukkah, 2024. New members are selected from among the finest Israeli scientists and join one of the Academy’s two divisions – the Humanities Division (which also includes the Social Sciences) and the Natural Sciences Division. With their induction this Hanukkah, the Academy now has 153 members.
